Realise!
Creating new opportunities in business & enterprise
Realise! is a project delivering a programme of opportunities for young disabled people through which they will develop key business skills, explore their entrepreneurial and enterprising energies, and appreciate the value of international collaboration in a world-class business environment.
The programme includes peer mentoring and development sessions, workshops, work placements, accreditation, disability-awareness training and competitive events. Each of these development opportunities encompasses an international link. This is being facilitated through, for example, the CCCeCommunity, peer networks, cultural exchanges and profiling / celebratory events
Realise! is involving at least 20 young disabled people in the South East and 20 of their compatriots in other countries in 2009-10, increasing to 50 in 2010-11 and 2011-12. It is helping to create a legacy of improved representation of young disabled people in businesses in the South East, increasing the number of young disabled business leaders and entrepreneurs and helping organisations to achieve a cultural shift in their own practice.
Realise! is delivered through CCC as part of the Accentuate programme.
